Freecell Christmas Solitaire
If you enjoy playing classic freecell solitaire, then you should give the festive version a try. The backdrop to the game is a snowy scene, complete with a Christmas stocking and a snowman. The game also has festive music, which you can switch off if you’d prefer.
Solitaire is a game that has been played for centuries. It’s a great way to pass the time and it’s also a good way to sharpen your skills in mathematics, probability and reasoning. And now you can do it with a festive backdrop.
The game has a single level that has a 10-minute time limit. All of the cards are dealt into eight different piles and the aim of the game is to build up all 52 cards on foundations above, going from King, down to Ace, by suit. Within the game, you get three chances to press undo if you make an incorrect move.
It is great to be able to play Freecell Christmas Solitaire, as it’s a game I love, but this version had the added bonus of giving me all the festive feels!
Tripeaks Solitaire Card Game
If you’d like to play an alternative festive game, then you should try out the Tripeaks Solitaire Card Game.
This game sits within the solitaire genre. There are six levels to work through and you have to click on cards on the tableau which are either one higher, or one lower than the open card on top of the waste pile. If you can’t play the card, you can just click on the next one to bring it to the top of the waste pile. the line of cards at the bottom is reflective of how many you have left.
Each card is worth 50 points and there are four different bonus cards that you can use. Each one lets you do something different. You can either play along and see, or read the comprehensive instructions below the game to find out what each card means. But if you don’t play your bonus card, you can carry it through to the next level.
During the game, you can clearly see your level, score, and your remaining time. Other controls include a button to pause and the button to control the festive music.
I find the Tripeaks Solitaire Card Game quite challenging and I’d say it’s for intermediate players, but it’s certainly enjoyable!
